NEW CANYON TORQUE

Sending gaps or hitting steep descents, the Torque is a long travel machine that’s playful at the park, stable at pace and quick up long climbs when there’s no shuttle in sight.

Can it handle Enduro racing?

Yeah. But what about tight corners? No problem. Ride it full tilt and have fun doing it.

Progress makes perfect

Our engineers and pro riders teamed up to design the bike they wanted to ride. The result?

A slacker long-travel bike with just the right length of chainstay to keep things stable at speed and manoeuvrable when the trail gets tight.

Slack headtube

Coming in at a super-slack 63.5 degrees, the Torque wields a headtube that until recently would’ve felt like steering a boat. Now combined with low-offset forks and longer reach, the headtube angle delivers a blend of high-speed stability, confidence to attack challenging terrain, and responsive handling.

Longer reach

The longer reach of the Torque (465 for medium frames) puts you in an aggressive riding positing and distributes your weight over the center of the bike for better traction, superior steering, and less cramped climbing on the way back up.

Geometry adjustment (CF only)

The two-position Flip Chip (CF only) offers 0.5 degrees of head tube and seat tube angle adjustment as well as 8mm of BB height difference so you can set your Torque CF exactly how you like.

Steep seat tube

Get your weight forward for big, seated climbs with a steeper 78 degrees seat tube angle (77.5 in LO mode on CF bikes). Once combined with the bike’s long reach, you’re perfectly positioned to hold traction even on technical uphills.

Ready to get rowdy

Less maintenance. More riding.

With sealed bearings, weather protection and widely sourced parts, you can ride confidently all year round without a care in the world.

Built-to-last bearings

With our own high-durability grease fill (AL bikes) and double sealed bearings (CF bikes), your suspension will stay plush longer even when riding through nasty conditions

Universal mech hanger

We use easily sourced hangers so if you bend it, you can get hold of a new one almost anywhere.

It also pivots backwards slightly, increasing your rear mech’s chances of surviving an impact.

Safe and (no) sound

An integrated rubber downtube protector shields the frame from errant rocks and crashes and a moulded seatstay protector does the same. A proprietary chainstay protector with special ridges protects the rest of the rear triangle while also dampening any chain slap.

Design & engineering

Designed to shred

To update the Torque and put it at the forefront of modern long travel bikes we redesigned it from the ground up.

It’s stiffer, lighter and more durable than ever.

Triple phase suspension

Small bump sensitivity, mid stroke support and a progressive ramp for big hits, the new Torque is a faster bike that we expect to be ridden harder than its predecessor, so we dialled in the suspension to descrease the chances of rowdier riders bottoming out.

A bike to belive in

Optimised stiffness and improved durability make the Torque safer and more confidence-inspiring than ever before. By enhancing frame strength where it matters, with a stiffer front triangle and slightly stiffer rear triangle, we made the bike stable and responsive, without sacrificing traction and forgiveness.

Downhill durability

Tested and rated to the same Category 5 as the downhill-world-cup-winning Sender, the new Torque was built to handle the biggest hits.

Material matters

There’s no denying that carbon creates some of the best bikes on the trail, but for many riders, aluminium is the material of choice.

To maintain ride quality across the range and get the most out of each material, the Torque CF and AL both had dedicated development processes and unique frame designs.

What’s the difference?

Thanks to straighter, rounder tube profiles, the Torque AL is just as stiff as the Torque CF. But the CF optimises its carbon fibre layup in the spots that matter to hit the ideal balance of low weight and confidence-inspiring stiffness. The Torque AL also has no geometry adjustment.

A bike born for the Whip Off. Obliterate berms, huck trailside lips and manual through the carpark on the most agile Torque.

Long live 27.5″

If agility and all-out playfulness top your list of priorities, then this is your wheel size. When the trail gets tight, the shorter wheelbase will have you weaving your way out of sight of the big wheels, but thanks to the confident chassis and progressive geo, the Torque 27.5 still keeps pace.

TORQUE MULLET

Business in the front. Party in the back. The mullet keeps it loose with the right blend of 29” and 27.5”.

29 up front. 27.5 in the rear.

Named after the iconic hairstyle, the “mullet option” offers a rowdy mix of ride qualities. A larger 29” front wheel delivers traction and rollover for a high-performance dose of speed and confidence, while the ultra-manoeuvrable 27.5” wheel at the back is where the party starts.

It’s the ideal setup for the speed-obsessed rider that still wants an agile and playful bike.

A tale of two triangles

Combining the front triangle of the Torque 29 and the rear triangle of the Torque 27.5, the Torque Mullet was no afterthought. The short backend ups the bike’s agility on the trail and provides riders more clearance between themselves and the rear wheel so they can swing off the back when it’s steep without buzzing the tyre.

Coil shock-compatible

Coiled and ready to strike. The Torque CF 8 and Torque CF Fabio Wibmer both come with coil sprung shocks for epic levels of traction in chunky terrain. And to get setup dialed, the bikes ship with two additional springs to cover both heavier and lighter riders.

Smash turns and get loose

“The mullet is a sick setup to smash turns and get loose on the high speed stuff.”

Kaos Seagrave – Gravity
